We take pride as the first of its kind senior living resort in the country. We thought of retirement as a time for ourselves to go on a permanent vacation. With that in mind, we conceptualized our senior living community after a luxury beach resort. Our entire facility is located on the pristine beaches of Florida Strait.
Bahama Bay offers senior independent living, assisted living, & memory care programs. What makes us different from the rest is we’re promoting a luxury resort lifestyle to our residents.
But, we’re more than that, aside from letting you experience a luxury resort lifestyle, we make sure we’ve got everything covered. Part of our priority is your health & wellness. So, expect top of the line healthcare services and amenities that you can get outside a hospital.
We can talk all we want, but the best way to understand the difference is to call us and come see us. We aren’t a large company. We are locally owned and owner operated which gives our residents and their families a close connection with our ownership and leadership team directly to solve any concerns very quickly. In addition, we are fortunate to have a leadership team that has over 100 years of experience combined. We have seen how these communities can work great around the county and how they can’t. Lastly, the simple answer is, that we respect each other, we respect the residents, and we pride ourselves on providing love, compassion, and a family-oriented atmosphere. With us, it isn’t just lip service, it is the way we operate. Come see us today and you will see it in action.
You’re literally vacationing when you’re staying in Bahama Bay. But, we’re still a senior living facility that offers different comprehensive care programs.
Here are our different care programs that you can choose from:
Bahama Bay Club offers three main care packages; Medication Management, Activities of Daily Living, and Incontenence Care. Prices start at $450 per month per package. A La Cart options are also available. Please inquire.
Our in-community wellness director (physician) will be assessing the best care program for you. We will be collecting information mostly centered on your current health & medical records. We will also be asking you questions about your hobbies, your daily routines & activities, and your retirement plans. We’d like to ask you all these questions so that we can provide you the service & care tailored to your specific needs & wants.
There is also an assessment called an AHCA 1823 form that is required by the State of Florida and must be filled out by a physician. This is a more in-depth description of your current health status, abilities, and medications. We can help you with this. Please inquire within
Once we’re done with our assessment, our wellness director then provides you a service plan. This is tailored according to your needs and the recommended care program. This already includes your health & wellness management and other essential services & amenities.
Of course, we do offer that service! Part of our commitment is to keep you not just happy, but healthy inside and out. Thus, part of our health & wellness management is your medication program. We use technology to manage your medication accurately. We use a computer program to order, maintain, and pass the medications according to physician orders. This is known as our medication program package. For those residents that just need a little extra help, but not the full medication program, we also have resources for automatic medication dispensers at a lower cost. (Important to note that your physician must dictate you have the ability to take your own medications).
We understand the hassle of having to move again and certainly, no one wants to have this burden. At Bahama Bay Club, we understand this and offer services under our Florida-licensed Assisted Living Facility allowances while also making sure there is good communication between our team and you or your family. This allows us to work closely together to find solutions.
We offer wellness staff 24 hours a day to help with your needs or address anything more urgent for you. All you have to do is press your nurse call button 24 hours or call the front desk during business hours. In addition, we have a nurse on staff during the day and always on-call.
At Bahama Bay Club we have a wellness department team that works closely with our residents to help when you need it. Most of our residents will see the same people every day. This helps with identifying changes in conditions as well.
We’d love to tell you more about our services and amenities. You can download our brochure here or sign up for a free tour and consultation here.
If you or someone else is spending more time helping your loved one, or, you, as the potential resident, are needing more and more assistance daily, these are the common things we see that could indicate assisted living is a good choice for you. If you have had falls, mistaken or forgot your medication, or had any other events, these are also very important signs to consider. Sometimes it is just easier to have a team helping you with everything and an all-inclusive rate each month as opposed to home care. Assisted Living is usually the best and most safe option.
If you can still comfortably and responsibly take care of your loyal companion, Bahama Bay will warmly welcome them to our community.
Yes, Bahama Bay Club offers transportation to medical appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Lake Mary to Orange City. We have a handicapped van with a wheelchair lift and also a Mercedes sedan for those who would prefer car transport. We also offer transportation on our bus on Fridays to Publix and/or Walmart.
Of course they can! We always welcome your family & friends anytime! They can visit you at their most convenient time and date. In fact, our community is designed for your family too as we have an intergenerational learning room, theatre room, and sports games that your family will also enjoy. We can also arrange an extra bed inside your unit should they decide to stay with you for the night.
We take pride in fielding professionals in taking care of our residents. We assure you that we only have licensed physicians, nurses, & caregivers to give you peace of mind. Upon hiring them in Bahama Bay, they will undergo a new set of training in assisted, independent, and memory care programs. This is to ensure that they are more than capable of taking care of you.
We will provide you a personalized resident service plan to have the smoothest transition in our community. In the end, it’s up to your most convenient time to move in.
